Decoding Body Language is a half-day seminar, hands-on workshop and luncheon. Learn more or RSVP at http://bit.ly/Clemons12 or to 480-967-7891.
Approximately 80% of communication is expressed nonverbally. When you know how to unlock the secrets of people’s nonverbal cues, you’ll always have the advantage in any situation.
Possessed with this powerful information, you’ll be able to sit in a business meeting and know what your leadership and colleagues are really thinking and feeling, even knowing what your children or spouse are really saying when coming from school and work. You’ll learn how your own body language is influencing successful communication with your boss, family, friends and strangers.
In this workshop, global sales and body language expert Linda Clemons will teach you how to “speed-read” people, decode behaviors, avoid hidden pitfalls and look for revealing behaviors. She is a top sales trainer, widely respected motivational speaker, the CEO of Sisterpreneur, Inc. and a popular radio and television personality. She is certified in Analytical Interviewing, a process used to detect deception and gather data from witnesses, hostages and victims.
You will discover:
* How the subconscious limbic system drives all body language
* Simple moves that establish trust and communicate authority
* What your feet, thumbs, arms and handshake reveal about one’s mood and motive
* The most powerful behavior that reveals our confidence and true sentiments
* Signs of intent and deception
And much more….
The tricky thing about body language (and one of the reasons it is so powerful) is its unconscious nature. Co-workers may form a negative opinion of you because you slouch, don’t make enough eye contact, or make too much eye contact, or stand too close to them when you speak. But, because people are unaware of how they made the judgment, they are unable to filter out biases.
With nonverbal communication, it’s not how the sender feels that matters most; it is how the observer perceives how the sender feels. These interpretations are often deep in the subconscious mind, triggered by the limbic brain, and based on primitive emotional reaction that hasn’t changed much since humans began interacting with each other.
This high energy fast paced session will edu-tain the participants with tools and strategies to improve their communication with others.
It takes place on Oct. 30 at Dave & Buster’s in the Tempe Marketplace. The cost is $99 for members and $150 for the public. Tickets include the workshop, luncheon and personal engagement with Ms. Clemons. RSVP to http://bit.ly/Clemons12
