Tempe Chamber Announces Candidate Endorsements

The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has announced its endorsements for candidates in the Aug. 24 election of representatives to the State Legislature. Recommended are Wendy Rogers (District 17) and John McComish (District 20) for the State Senate and Ben Arredondo (District 17), Steve May (District 17), Bob Robson (District 20) and Rae Waters (District 20) for the House of Representatives. The Chamber believes these candidates are the most business-friendly candidates for State Legislature.
“We are pleased to endorse these highly-qualified candidates,” says Tempe Chamber President/CEO Mary Ann Miller. “We are confident that they will be strong representatives of the business community and that their talents and abilities will be valuable assets in fulfilling the Chamber’s objective of promoting the best interests of business.”
Candidates submitted written questionnaires and were interviewed by the Tempe Chamber of Commerce pertaining to state spending limits; tax issues; the budget deficit; and much more. The Chamber’s recommendations were reviewed and discussed by the Chamber Board in order to choose candidates for the available seats.
