When it comes to your business, your first concern is probably your bottom line. Are you making a profit? What more can you be doing to get more customers? However, all it takes is one workplace accident or lawsuit, and none of that will matter.
There is a growing need for business owners to protect themselves and their employees against workplace dangers, and the Tempe Chamber of Commerce is hosting a comprehensive seminar series to address the most important safety and security issues facing businesses today.
Join us on Friday mornings beginning in August for our Business Safety and Security Clinic, and learn how to reduce your exposure to physical and computer-based dangers, reduce or eliminate liability from lawsuits, ensure the privacy of corporate proprietary information and give employees the information they need to play a proactive role in forming a front line against dangerous and expensive threats to your business’ safety and profitability.
The series comprises four 90-minute courses with industry experts who will teach workshops on the following topics:
Aug. 6: Workplace Safety Seminar with Tod Davis of SCF Arizona
Aug. 13: Computer and Internet Security with Morrison Maierle Systems
Aug. 20: Personal and Corporate Identity Theft Protection with Tami Nealy of LifeLock
Sept. 3: Attorney General Terry Goddard’s Office and NAID (National Association for Information Destruction, Inc.) Presentation
Individual sessions take place on Fridays, Aug. 6, 13, 20 and Sept. 3, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the University of Phoenix, 4635 E. Elwood St. in Phoenix. A series pass is available for $50 to Tempe Chamber members or $80 to the public. RSVPs are also accepted for individual sessions at a reduced rate. Advance registration is required here or by calling (480) 967-7891. Classes are limited to 25 people per session, so sign up now!
