2010 Business Woman of the Year Finalists Named

The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has announced the three finalists for the 2010 Business Woman of the Year award. 

The winner will be announced at the  Women In Business Conference & Trade Show on Tuesday, May 18 at The Arizona Grand Resort, 8000 S. Arizona Grand Pkwy.

The three finalists are Rhonda Anderson, CEO of Cardon Children’s Medical Center; Sandy Catour, COO/CFO of Sitewire; and Margaret Hunnicutt, President/CEO of Tempe Schools Credit Union.

Rhonda Anderson is the CEO of Cardon Children’s Medical Center. With more than 45 years of experience in the health care field, she dedicates time to the ASU College of Nursing and Health Innovation as guest lecturer and adjunct professor and has 52 published articles to her credit. She also works with the advisory committee for curriculum and research for the ASU W.P. Carey School of Health Management and Policy and assists with its internship program.

Sandy Catour is the COO/CFO of Sitewire, an Internet marketing company based in Tempe. In the past year she led Sitewire to a 20% increase in growth and profitability through financial contingency planning and cost containment measures, laying off no employees and hiring six more. She is as a mentor and board member of the Athena Powerlink program and was instrumental in the launch of two new startup companies in 2009. 

Margaret Hunnicutt is the President/CEO of Tempe Schools Credit Union. A CPA with over 30 years in the financial services industry, she helped guide the credit union to a 47% increase in assets over a six year period resulting in a 35% increase in net worth. She is also the site coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance initiative with the Tempe Community Council and is a board member for the Tempe Union High School District Education Foundation.

The public is invited to attend join us as we announce the recipient at the culmination of the May 18 Women in Business Conference and Trade Show. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Arizona Grand Resort, 8000 S. Arizona Grand Parkway.
