We are pleased to announce the official launch of the Tempe Chamber’s blog! Today’s launch of the blog is the culmination of months of foundational work to provide you with the best resources delivered with user-friendly tools designed to assist you with your business. Let me provide you with a brief glimpse into the last 9 months that led to today’s exciting launch.
Last year, the Chamber created a new committee, the Business Resource Advantage committee, that was charged with working with the Chamber’s members to determine what resources the members wanted and needed and how to package them. After months of surveys, focus groups and dedicated committee members pouring over the information and resources, we strategically created a first-of-its-kind Social Media Campaign for the Chamber and its members. The Chamber is practicing what it preaches by recognizing the importance of innovation and using a variety of tools that are available for free for all businesses to use and implement in their organization.
To date, the Chamber has created a LinkedIn group to have a forum to connect members, provide members with valuable information and allow members to interact with each other in an online format. Second, the Chamber is now on Twitter, which gives the Chamber the ability to provide you with timely, valuable short bytes of information that is relevant to your business. Today, we are adding yet another component of the campaign – the Chamber’s blog.
We recognize the term “blog” conjures up many different thoughts depending on your experience with them or what you may have heard about them. We encourage you to take some time to check out the Chamber’s blog because it has been designed to give you valuable information from experts in a variety of industries.
We have created a calendar of topics to address the issues that were requested from the members based on feedback that we received from the surveys and focus groups. The blog will contain articles from industry experts who are also Chamber members which has the dual benefit of providing you with valuable resources to answer your business questions while showcasing the expertise of the Chamber’s membership.
Finally, we recognize that we are providing you with a lot of new tools and the best way for you to maximize the benefit of these tools is to train and educate you as to how to use them. The first training will be on April 9 at Monti’s so sign up today to learn how to leverage these tools and talk to our social media experts.
The Chamber’s mission is to build an environment that enhances the economic vitality of our membership. We’ve always stayed true to this goal and to our commitment that “Your Success Is Our Business.” Stay tuned for more valuable information and innovative resources.
Here’s to your success!

Chair - Business Resource Advantage Committee
