The Tempe Chamber of Commerce, having recognized social media as a new and very effective way in which information can be shared, should be commended for embracing social media and providing additional value to their members. As the head of social media at RailLife.com, I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to sit on the committee charged with determining best practices and implementation for the Chamber. Social Media will allow members to receive information in new ways, and it is extremely effective in creating brand awareness and increasing traffic to their business.
With the recent naming by BusinessWeek Magazine as “one of the best cities in the United States for starting up a business“ Tempe should be proud of it’s business community accomplishments. “Tempe is the urban center of Arizona. We are proud that BusinessWeek has recognized this,” Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman said. “Tempe works with businesses to provide them the tools they need to be successful, and Tempe plans ahead to ensure we continue to be business-friendly.”
The Tempe Chamber is one of the many reasons Tempe is such a great place to start a business. With cutting-edge innititives like the Social Media project, as a chamber member, you have the ability to learn about events and get information in many different ways. Business owners have many marketing choices in today’s world and should reach out to explore new and effective ways to promote their brand. I hope you will take advantage of these new opportunities and continue to be highly successful in your business.
